QNEWS this year has seen us regularly used during United States Amateur Radio Newsline, (akin to our weekly wia broadcasts yet independent and Coast to Coast) and is relayed in VK6 across the linked repeater network and on 80 meters just prior to their own news service.. NewsWest.
In P29 it is relayed from 20 meters into the Port Moresby 147 Mhz repeater.

QNEWS continues to supply a regular 15 minute monthly audio magazine to Community FM broadcasters, 4TTT-FM Townsville, 99FM Redcliffe and Logan's 88-FM Springwood.

QNEWS is concerned that many (MANY) queries to both Federal and VK4 Councils have gone unanswered. Also that still no backup has been arranged (for whatever reason) for VK4JPH who encodes QNEWS audio to RealAudio format for the World Wide Web.

QNEWS is your weekly ears and eyes to the world of Amateur Radio

SUPPORT it by providing items of interest regularly AND calling in to your QNEWS rebroadcaster.

QNEWS audio, again on the internet at this site in RealAudio lets you listen anytime, night or day to the latest WW and VK Ham news.

The first Audio program at 2300 UTC Saturdays, 9am Sunday local time. The program is beamed into the main Brisbane VHF repeater, and from here our qnews team of rebroadcasters send it on its way on most bands.

QNEWS is replayed Mondays 0930hrs UTC (7:30pm local) and leads into a talk back with the WIA councillors session on the old Queensland Clubs Net. This is on 3.605 and the main 147.000 MHz Brisbane repeater.

For Amateurs who miss either of these two broadcasts a third replay is conducted the FOLLOWING SUNDAY NIGHT, at 7pm local time.

QNEWS relies on input from the active VK Amateurs, but also has access to the ARRL, ARNewsline, infact all world Societies and is distributed to other divisions and Societies PRIOR to broadcasting to the general amateur population.

Material is non-copyright and maybe rebroadcast by any group, however please let QNEWS know you are utilising the service.

Items for broadcast can be emailed... qnews@powerup.com.au Posted as above, or packeted as a personal SP message to QNEWS @ VK4PKT.#BNE.QLD.AUS.OC
